OEM & ODM options: colours, laser marking, ROM ranges, packaging

Exactly what can be customised on a Touch Memory key and what each option costs you in MOQ and lead time — housing colours, your logo, reserved ID ranges, fob assembly and retail packaging.

Standard POM fob colour range — black, red, blue, green, yellow and more
Type Device type Notes
Housing colour Twelve POM colours held in stock — brown, purple, teal, peach, green, orange, yellow, blue, light blue, grey, black, red. Estates and employers use them to colour-code by building, floor or department. No extra cost, no extra lead time
Custom colour A colour outside the stock twelve means a dedicated material batch. Send a Pantone reference and we match it. Volume order; allow extra lead time
Laser marking / logo Your logo and text are lasered onto the stainless lid, alongside or in place of the standard marking. Vector artwork is required — a bitmap logo will not laser cleanly at this size. One-off setup, then no per-unit cost
Reserved ID range We allocate a serial-number block to you so no two batches collide on the same site. For any estate rolled out over several orders this is not optional — duplicate IDs mean two flats opening each other’s door. Free; must be agreed before the first batch
Fob assembly Buttons pressed into fobs at our factory, shipped ready to issue. The alternative is your staff doing it by hand at destination, which costs more than the assembly itself. Free of charge
Packaging Bulk ESD bags for installers; blister or header cards for retail counters and marketplaces. Standard is 100 pcs per ESD bag, 2 bags per box. Retail packaging is a tooling item — ask before quoting your own retail price
Custom family code (own silicon) Because the TM1990A-compatible chip is our own design, the 8-bit family code is not locked to 01h — we can set 08h or any value you specify. Readers that filter on family code then accept only your issue, creating a closed credential scheme without changing the protocol. Volume order; family code agreed before wafer run
Custom CRC rule (anti-cloning) The checksum generation rule can be re-defined to your specification. Standard blanks then fail validation on your controllers even if the serial is copied — cloning is blocked at protocol level, not by secrecy alone. Project-based — talk to engineering before quoting
Private label Your brand on the product, the bag and the carton, with no reference to us anywhere in the shipment. Standard practice for distributors who sell under their own name. No extra cost at volume
