Intercom & Door-Phone Keys
The single largest Touch Memory market, especially across the CIS.
Residential entrance panels have used contact keys for decades and continue to be re-keyed constantly as tenants change. This is a consumables business: steady, high-volume, price-sensitive demand for DS1990A keys, TM1990A equivalents and RW1990 blanks, plus the readers and duplicators around them.

Touch Memory remains attractive where contactless is unnecessary or undesirable: it is cheap, immune to relay attacks at distance, and works reliably outdoors. Controllers from most major access-control brands still accept DS1990A-format credentials.

Guard Tour & Patrol Checkpoints
Checkpoint buttons that prove a patrol actually happened.
A rugged contact button screwed to a wall is still the cheapest tamper-evident checkpoint there is — no battery, no radio, nothing to drain or jam. Guard-tour system makers buy these in volume as consumable checkpoints alongside their readers.

Fleet Driver Identification
Driver ID and immobiliser keys for telematics units.
GPS and telematics vendors pair their trackers with a 1-Wire reader so each trip is attributed to a driver, and often use the same key to authorise engine start. Volumes follow vehicle counts, and the token is bundled with every unit shipped.

Time & Attendance
Clock-in credentials that survive dirty industrial hands.
Contact tokens are hard to fool and cheap to replace, which is why time clocks in construction, agriculture and manufacturing still ship with them. Every new terminal sold pulls a batch of keys with it.

Lift-component distributors specify Dallas Touch Memory keys for floor authorisation because the reader is simple, cheap and easy to retrofit into an existing car panel. Demand comes through elevator component channels rather than security ones.
Alarm System Arming
Arm/disarm badges for intrusion panels.
Several European alarm-panel makers arm and disarm with a Dallas badge instead of a code, because a physical token cannot be shoulder-surfed. Panel manufacturers buy the badges and holders as accessories for every system sold.
Smart Home, 1-Wire & KNX
iButton access in Loxone / KNX residential systems.
Home-automation platforms expose 1-Wire as a native bus, so an iButton reader at the front door is a natural fit. This channel is served through installers and platform partners rather than distributors, and values neat housings and colour choice.
Cold Chain & Temperature Logging
Thermochron loggers riding along with the shipment.
Pharma, food and electronics shippers need a defensible temperature record. A sealed logger the size of a coin needs no wiring, survives the trip and reads out in seconds at destination — sold with a USB adapter as a kit.
