64-bit ROM: 8-bit family code + 48-bit serial + 8-bit CRC

A 0.25 mm solid stainless shell, a UV-stable polypropylene grommet isolating lid from base, and the die bonded inside. Lid = data contact, base = ground return.

Frequently asked questions

Can the family code or CRC rule be customised?

Yes — this is the advantage of our own silicon. The 8-bit family code is not locked to 01h: we can set 08h or any value you specify, and the CRC generation rule can be re-defined to your specification. Controllers that filter on family code or verify your CRC then accept only keys from your batches — a closed system standard blanks cannot enter. Both options are agreed before the wafer run and suit volume OEM programmes.

Will a TM1990A-F5 work in a reader made for DS1990A?

Yes. Any reader or controller that speaks the 1-Wire ROM protocol reads a TM1990A exactly as it reads a DS1990A. Physical fit is identical too — both use the F5 can, 16.25 mm across the flange.

Can I get custom ID ranges and colours on the TM1990A?

Yes. We allocate a reserved serial-number block so no two batches collide on the same site, and hold twelve stock housing colours with laser logo and private-label packaging available. Reserving the ID range must be agreed before the first batch.

How are TM1990A keys packed for shipping?

Standard packing is 200 pcs per ESD bag, 2 bags per box; carton box with 10,000 pcs (no fob) or 5,000 pcs (with fob). Fitting the button into a fob is free of charge. Blister or header-card retail packaging is available on request.
