TMR-02 Panel-Mount TM Probe (DS9092 format)

DS9092-format panel probe with M18×1 nut and 200 mm leads — a familiar front end for controllers.

A sprung contact receptor in the classic DS9092 format that mates with the F3/F5 can. A solid metal panel-mount body fixes through the panel with an M18×1 nut and suits material up to 3 mm thick; the sliding contact surface is designed to wipe itself clean every time a key is presented, which helps on entrance doors that are rarely serviced. The self-aligning profile matches the circular rim of the can so the key seats correctly without the user aiming. Two pre-wired 200 mm leads — data on the centre contact, ground on the outer ring — connect straight to the controller.

Why this model

The DS9092 footprint many designs already use

This is the basic probe of the range. The M18×1 thread and the panel cut-out it needs follow the familiar DS9092 format used by access controllers, time clocks and intercom panels, so if your design already uses that cut-out, specifying TMR-02 may mean no new drawings and no new cut-out for the installer. Check the fit against your own panel drawing and test a sample on your own system before ordering. One installation caveat worth repeating: because the body is metal and the nut grounds it to the panel, the panel itself should be non-conductive — otherwise you can create a ground loop through the door. Where the panel is metal, consider the TMR-04 with its insulating ABS capsule instead.

Is the TMR-02 a drop-in replacement for the Dallas DS9092?

Confirm replacement using the supplied probe drawing, wiring details and controller requirements. A DS1990A, TM1990A or RW1990 model name alone does not establish compatibility with every key version. Check dimensions and wiring, then test the intended keys with the actual controller and firmware before installation.

What panel cut-out and mounting does it need?

Drill a single round hole for the M18×1 threaded neck and fasten the supplied nut — no other fixings. The probe comes with a 200 mm lead for the controller connection.

Is there a version with an indicator LED?

Yes — the TMR-02-4P adds a built-in indicator in the DS9092L style, brought out on four wires so the controller lights it on a valid read. Choose it when users need visual feedback at the point of touch.
