TMR-01A Copper TM Probe with Guide Ring
The TMR-01 with a polymer guide ring — the key lands on the contact first time, every time.
Mechanically the same chrome-plated copper contact as the TMR-01, with one addition that changes the user experience: a white polymer guide ring around the rim. The ring funnels the key onto the contact instead of letting it skid across a flat face, which matters at an entrance door where people present the key one-handed, in the dark, without looking. It also cushions the impact of a metal can hitting a metal face thousands of times a year. Panel-mount body with a threaded neck and nut, 200 mm of 24 AWG red/black sheathed lead, no terminal fitted — cut and crimp to whatever your controller expects.
The guide ring is the whole point
A bare probe asks the user to aim; this one aims for them. The raised polymer ring catches the edge of the can and walks it into the contact, so a first-touch read becomes the normal case rather than the lucky one — the difference between a resident who taps once and one who scrapes the key around the panel in the rain. It costs almost nothing over the plain TMR-01 and removes a category of "the reader is broken" call-outs that were never a reader fault at all. Choose the plain TMR-01 where the panel already has a recess doing the same job, or the TMR-01-4P when you also need an LED.
