Is the DS1990A-F5 the same as a TM1990A?
They are different product references. TM1990A-F5 is offered for fixed-ID identification, but original DS1990A documentation does not establish the specifications or compatibility of the supplied TM1990A version. Confirm its supply documentation and test samples with the intended reader, controller and firmware before a bulk order.
Can a DS1990A-F5 key be copied or duplicated?
The original DS1990A is read-only and cannot be rewritten — per the original manufacturer's datasheet its ID is laser-programmed and permanent; confirm for the supplied version. RW1990 is a rewritable-ID option, but copying requires confirmation of the supplied blank version, duplicator and firmware, followed by sample writing and target-controller tests. If you need keys that resist simple ID cloning, consider an authenticated part such as the DS1961S with on-chip SHA-1, which also needs support on the host side.
