Choose between one-time programming and rewriting
TM-01A is positioned for one-time programming, while RW1990 is a rewritable-ID blank. Neither name guarantees a match to a source key, duplicator or controller. Check the proposed version and firmware, then test writing, read-back and controller acceptance. Confirm the applicable locking or rewrite-endurance information; do not treat a write lock as proof of clone resistance.

Which blank does your duplicator write?
Blanks differ less in the finished key than in how the copier writes them. Protocol names follow the routines used in mainstream and open-source duplicator firmware — check the blank list in your machine's manual before ordering.

Why choose a one-time blank instead of RW1990?
Because of what happens after you hand the key over. RW1990 is offered for rewritable IDs, with writing dependent on the supplied version and compatible duplicator firmware; a changed ID still requires acceptance by the target controller. The TM-01A is intended to lock once written, so that afterwards it behaves like a read-only key; confirm this behaviour on samples before relying on it.
