TM-01A One-Time Copy Blank (Dallas OTP)
Copies a TM1990A / DS1990A once — then locks permanently, like an original.
A one-time-programmable Dallas blank: any standard TM duplicator writes the 64-bit ID once, after which the blank locks and can never be re-flashed. The copy behaves exactly like a factory read-only key — the answer for estates that ban re-writable copies to stop key-of-key cloning. For repeat-use blanks choose RW1990; for Cyfral/Metakom OTP use RW2000.
A Dallas copy that cannot be copied again
Same job as an RW1990, opposite philosophy. Both accept a TM1990A or DS1990A code from any capable duplicator; the difference is what happens afterwards. The RW1990 stays open forever, so the copy you issued can be re-flashed by the next shop down the street. The TM-01A locks the moment it is written and from then on is indistinguishable from a factory read-only key. Housing estates and employers that forbid re-writable duplicates ask for exactly this behaviour — and it costs you nothing extra to offer it alongside the standard blank.
Key features
- Multi-format blank: emulates Dallas Touch Memory plus the Cyfral and Metakom intercom formats.
- One SKU instead of three on the shop counter — widely deployed across the CIS.
- F5 can; programmable with standard TM duplicators.

Which blank does your duplicator write?
Blanks differ less in the finished key than in how the copier writes them. Protocol names follow the routines used in mainstream and open-source duplicator firmware — check the blank list in your machine's manual before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose a one-time blank when RW1990 costs the same?
Because of what happens after you hand the key over. An RW1990 copy can be re-flashed by the next shop, so a resident can quietly turn a key issued for one door into a key for another, and a "copy of a copy" chain becomes untraceable. The TM-01A locks the instant it is written and from then on behaves exactly like a factory read-only key. Housing estates, employers and gated communities that ban re-writable duplicates specify precisely this — and it is the same price bracket, so offering it costs you a bin, not a budget.
